I couldn’t really blame you.
However, knowing exactly what lies beneath dimply skin can help you understand why it’s a tough problem.

Basically, cellulite is herniated fat.
Beneath the epidermis, the layers of skin you can see, is the dermis, which is a layer of tissue.
This dermis contains tons of tiny vessels, hair follicles, sweat glands, and more.
Overall, this layer of tissue is foundational to the appearance of your skin.
It’s not entirely unlike the poles of a tent.
The dermis lays on top of your fat stores, which present in higher concentrations around the stomach, thighs, and buttocks.
The problem is…
At the same time, the vessels in the dermis endure wear and tear. As a result, the area may become prone to inflammation, and will not drain properly.
The tissue of the dermis is tough.
But it won’t hold up against every fat cell when compromised.
Pockets of fat will make their way through the tough dermis, giving the dimpled appearance that characterizes cellulite.
Cellulite isn’t dangerous, and it isn’t a sign there are deeper health problems.
It’s considered a cosmetic defect affecting the structure of the tissue. The primary health concerns relate to how it makes us feel about ourselves.
How Did We Get Cellulite?
Often, we associate cellulite with weight gain, post-baby bodies, and age.
Despite this, you’ll find it on all shapes and sizes at practically any age. While it’s not always our favorite feature, it’s incredibly normal to have cellulite.
How you sit and how clothes fit can make the appearance of cellulite more obvious.
Here’s the interesting part…
Even young, fit models can have cellulite; you’re just not seeing it on the runway or in the catalog.
This means that there doesn’t need to be any particular reason for cellulite.
It all boils down to this…
You can eat right, exercise, maintain an ideal figure, and still have it.
That said, there are factors that could increase your chances of having noticeable cellulite.

Don’t Fall for It: Cellulite MYTHS
We’ve already covered the biggest myth about cellulite: you have to be overweight or out of shape to have it.
Still, there are some other bits of misinformation that are common when researching the topic.
1. Liposuction will eliminate cellulite. This misconception is rather interesting. No board-certified plastic surgeon worth their salt would recommend plain lipo for cellulite.
In fact, liposuction, wherein fat is vacuumed out of the body, can make it look even worse.
2. Compression garments can reduce cellulite. Regular spandex clothing can emphasize cellulite. However, a thicker, compressive garment can give you a totally smooth silhouette.
Somehow, it became common to claim that restrictive clothing “breaks up” cellulite.
It just isn’t true.
Otherwise, we’d all wear them much more often.
Hey, they’re still great for the gym.
3. Certain creams can reduce cellulite. There is absolutely no lotion or cream that penetrates into the dermis to melt fat or reduce cellulite.

It’s just fat cells poking through tissue.
A further claim is that if you do a liquid diet or take certain supplements, you can “release” these.
This is also not true.
Actually, this myth attempts to cash in on a truth by skewing it.
You can improve lymphatic drainage and reduce the appearance of cellulite without actually eliminating it.
You don’t need a special diet or potion to do this.
But that’s not all…

Six Natural Treatments to Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite
If you’re looking into how to get rid of cellulite on your stomach naturally, you’re aware of cosmetic procedures.
In addition to being costly, these are quite invasive.
Procedures like liposculpting and liposuction, as discussed above, come with mixed results.
Other, less-invasive procedures like wave therapy, fillers, and laser treatments can produce temporary results.
You can easily spend ten thousand dollars in seven years and get no other health benefits.
All because of cellulite!
Unfortunately, completly ridding your body of cellulite is unlikely.
There simply hasn’t been a method that’s proven to give complete, permanent results.
Here is how you solve this…
There are things you can do daily, at home, to naturally reduce the appearance of cellulite.
1. Dry Brushing
Getting back to those dermis vessels, it’s time to talk about the lymphatic system.
Lymph vessels in the living tissue of the dermis drain toxins and wastes from the body. Also, it’s responsible for the transport of lymph fluid which contains white blood cells.
The lack of lymph drainage is one big characteristic of skin marked by cellulite.
One way we stimulate the lymphatic system is through the ancient practice of dry brushing.
Dry brushing also increases circulation.

Therefore, if sitting at a desk is fueling your fears of more cellulite, it’s a key practice for prevention.
Here’s how to do it...
First things first...
Choose a brush with natural bristles - Shop now.
A lot of brushes will contain natural boar bristles, but cactus works as well.
The operative word in this practice is “dry”.
Never do this with wet skin or a wet brush. That’s simple exfoliation, which doesn’t have the same effect as a good dry brushing.

Cardio and weight loss exercise is not the answer to this. In fact, it can make skin more slack as you lose fat.

4. Skin Care
